International Energy Policy and Programme Evaluation Conference
June 25 – 27, 2018
Europa Haus Wien, Austria
2020 Is Tomorrow–Are you ready? Call for abstracts is currently open, closes on October 15, 2017.
Connecting implementers & evaluators
Policies and programmes for energy efficiency and climate mitigation are ranked as top priorities by the EU, IEA and UN to help the world face the critical issues of climate change and resource conservation. This focus has resulted in growing investment into energy efficiency and low carbon measures.
There is therefore a need to improve the assessment of potential and actual impacts of these measures. To address this issue, IEPPEC provides a platform to share and learn the experience and lessons from high-quality evaluation practices.
Previous European events: facts and figures
Since 2010, four conferences have been held in Europe: in 2010 (Paris), in 2012 (Rome), in 2014 (Berlin), and in 2016 (in Amsterdam). The last two events attracted between 150 and 200 participants, from nearly 30 countries. The participants mostly came from Europe and North America, but also from Brazil, China, Japan, Korea and South Africa.
From IEPEC to IEPPEC
IEPPEC is an event for designers, implementers, and evaluators of policies and programmes on the federal, state, local, and utility levels. The North American IEPEC (International Energy Program Evaluation Conference) has organised events since the 1983 on alternate years and the International Energy Policy and Programme Evaluation Conference (IEPPEC) in Europe – since 2010.
IEPPEC has become the key for the energy community and peer-reviewed proceedings, with papers freely available at iepec.org and ieppec.org.
How does this conference happen?
The conference is organised through a European non-profit association. The conference will be enabled due to two main types of contributions:
– Experts volunteering for the preparation of the conference;
– Sponsors, so that the conference can meet high quality standards while offering affordable fees.
